Today, I did some experimental work with charcoal art. I found it pretty interesting and fun actually. Definitely recommended. As you can see Im not the best artist 😅 (I hope it will look better when the eyes are done 🤞)
we have a bunch of stats logged in hack.af (our link shortener), but it only keeps 45k lines of logs around. I just wrote my first deno script that exports an airtable base to the local file system, so now we can backup our logs past 45k of lines
From these "chicken scratches" (Mr Chao, 2020) to a fully ready system in just under 24hrs... exciting times you know!!! Also set something cool up with the squad at Adafruit who are cool like always 😎 and went to get lunch with dad
Still working on learning more about XSS and the trouble with CORS, tokens, and undocumented APIs. In the meantime have a fun picture on magic bytes, a common way of tricking computers into thinking one type of file is another type.
I finished my Java Gambling Game. This is what it does: It generate 80 numbers, where 20 numbers are selected as winning numbers randomly. The user will input a number and that number will then be used to check if it is a winning number or a losing number. When the game is run, there will be a balance that the player has, which starts at $10. Each bet costs $1, each win gives $5, the game ends when the player’s balance either reaches $0 or $100. Display the balance each time a bet is made, multiple bets can be made in one run of random generated numbers. The bets cannot be on the same number, each bet must be on a unique number. Regardless of if they win or lose the bet, remember that they will spend the $1. After each round of bets, the winning numbers should be randomly shuffled again
Finally got point cloud generation working from depth maps, only took 132 attempts! 😭 😭 The final code isn't even that complex, the problem was that I had to keep checking to make sure my tools were working like they should be. The result is also a little skewed since I don't have the actual FOV camera measures for the source image but that will be available when I work with the hardware.
Now excuse me while I go rest...
Tell me an idea that can help the people with disabilities during the COVID-19 period? Has anyone done any projects on it? Feel free to reply to this thread , Im going to do one for the welfare of the disabled!
Long day of driving and moving people around at HQ today. Spent all morning packing. Everyone left Vermont and will be back on July 5th. Christina, Max, and I drove 5 hours to a place we’re staying at until Sunday (and we visited a potential place for everyone to stay over the summer). Had some great conversations with everyone on the drive.
🎸We made more progress on the _Summer of Making_ Smart Album Cover display… it finally listens to music playing in the room and gets the album cover! Here’s Tyler, The Creator’s*Flower Boy* and Drake’s _Nothing Was The Same_, which we think look exceptional 🌟. We’ve printed some of the parts for the frame (pictures on the GitHub Repo), and have to setup always listening and automatic volume adjustment, but after that it will be finished.
Im trying to organize a hacking competition for anyone to join, with @tetraoxygen, @sampoder, and @orangelemon. (there will be prizes) More updates/details will come later on. This comp. was on my bucket list for a while 🙂
