Been a while since i've posted in scrapbook (a month now 😬 ) gonna start doing that again. Webrings are a thing now, pretty awesome! Added a blacklist feature to @hack_night_timer today, so people couldn't abuse it to say naughty things

i finally killed those annoying cleanshot notifications that posted in 32x32 resolution...

This isn't really #ship -worthy so I'll post it here - I made a slackbot for third-party-client users that makes zoom usable again. If you react with a 🔗 to a broken zoom message, it'll send you a link to the meeting ephemerally

Learned about structs, methods, and impl in rust! This language is so cool

Today, I learned about references and borrowing in :rust: Rust - And I never want to touch a garbage collector again. Rust uses a cool concept called "ownership" that lets you make safe, efficient code with no GC and no manual allocation of memory - in the code snippet attached it can "transfer" ownership (I think) to the new function, and then back to the main function. :partyparrot: I also added a custom URL to my scrapbook! 🔗 scrapbook.lukec.me

just started learning Rust :rustlang: ! It's pretty awesome - very unique compared to the other languages I know. Here's an example of something cool about rust - if you don't use the return keyword, they implicitly assume the final value of the expression is what you want to return, so you can make code that looks pretty and works well. Here's an example of a super simple function that returns the number passed in plus one -

Today I worked on improving the code for @banker! New code vs old code (hope this supports 2 photos). I'm writing it with express and slack-events rather than the previous botkit format. edit: the link to the old code is i.imgur.com/H35MEaB.png
